THE I.F ESS IS FINALLY OVER!woww…first and foremost, would really like to thank God for the Minops people who are involved in the productions…YOU HAVE DONE WELL…the first week was the music presentation and that was really awesome..kudos to the musicians..knew and saw that they really prepared hard for the week and the presentation really “wowwed” us..for the second week, we had animation clip done by our very own media team!the “full of msg” was stuck to my head till now..it was really funny and cool..i mean its really a great step ahead considering that it was the first time that the media team did this!well done!wanna say to all the Minops that though you guys may not be on the field evangelising and SOWing..but i can really tell you that you guys have done a great part in the kingdom of God..using your specialised skills to bless the church!thanks for your hard work!the works are not in vain!

Not forgetting my west people!Thanks guys!i know you guys have worked very hard for these 2 weeks and guess what!we hit 109 for the second ESS which is our new highest attendance!Praise God!your labour have not been in vain!For the past 2 weeks we have seen a total of 14 salvations in the west.when u see this entry, take a moment to pray for this 14 new bros and sis alrite?although it is not the most we can get but God rejoices over them too!so we shall rejoice with God yeah?let’s continue to work hard..always remember that its not only ESS that you can invite your frens..even in normal service, you can do it too!make a paradigm shift alrite…you dont need to wait till there’s an ESS to invite..let’s do lifestyle evangelism and bring Christ everywhere we go…

sat was also a special day for me as i came out with my first very own teaching..principles extracted from Acts 2.taught it to my CLs on sat and it was quite well received..it was quite divine in the sense that acty i was preparing another teaching for them..then i received this very strong prompting from God to teach abt the fundermentals of a community life and abt initiative..so i was drawn to the passage in Acts 2…and amazingly it was talking abt the Early churches and their deeds..so cool!so came up with 4 points from that passage and some supporting verses..haha..now then i realised that preparing sermons are not that easy..really!so do give credits to our preachers alrite!thank you shirls!for giving ur best everyweek!hee!

yoz..am back with some proper blogs..acty i have been thinking..shld i place some spoilers for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows?I mean i dunno how many people who reads my blog intends to read it yet has not done so. heard some good news from the CCK grp.i mean they have over 40 people coming for the MCG on tuesday.that’s really some great news happening in that school.i mean can really sense that the momentum is up for the school.and i heard from zhengkai that his guys are really working hard now and wanting to rise up. So Joel,Jack,Junkai, Benjamin,Jonathan and Eugene, if you guys are reading this, continue to jiayou and believe and rise up. God can use anyone including yourself. I myself did SOW today and guess what?i juz remembered that it has been 4 yrs since i last did SOW.but i really enjoy it, the process of talking to people and getting to know that more. i guess somehow, my strength lies in this area…ability to connect and attract people (not with good looks, of coz), but with a balance of being sensitive and the powerful ability of being lame. got to know another guy from nan hua thru this SOW session..cool!keeping them in prayer!

personal learning…recently one of my fren told me that she can see from my blog that I really love my God.i mean its true…i really love my God.ever since the day He rescued me from all my loneliness and insecurity..i felt that no one else can love me more than He does.not that i no longer feel lonely and insecure,but at least now i know that no matter what, my God still loves me and He always will love me…

Thanksgiving prayer:
God, thanks for loving me and showing it so explicitly thru the cross. You have transformed me with your love and grace. And even at this moment you are still showing your love to me by painting the night skies for me to see. Thanks for sending people in my life to show your love too. my family,friends around me, my DMM members and people under my care…these are your channels of love. I pray i will be able to channel your love to people ard me too.I love you my God! Amen!

came back from nexus not long ago.had short term missions team leaders training.the session was good.heard some awesome stories for the guy who was sharing.one story hit me particularly.the guy shared:

usually during my work, i would “da bao” my food to the office and eat.So one day as usual, i was heading towards the same stall that i frequent to “da bao”. But on the way, i saw this old lady who walked past me.Suddenly God spoke to me to give the auntie a treat. So I obeyed God and ordered 2 packets of rice,one for myself and one for the auntie.But as i was walking back to my office along the trail whereby the auntie walked past, i kept asking God, “shld i share abt you to her?, what do u want me to share abt u to her?”. God did not answer me and i was nearing my office, but i still cannot see her.as i reach my office and was abt to open the door, the auntie walked behind me and past me again. So i tailed her and continued asking God,”so what to share?gospel?”.God still did not answer me.Then the auntie suddenly turned back and in quick response i said “auntie, ji bao peng hor li jia eh (this packet of rice is for u in Hokkien)”. Then the auntie replied (in hokkien), “thank you!i have not eaten for a few days already”. Then she sat down and ate quickly.I went back to office and ask God, “what was that about?” Then God finally answered me and said:”I was looking for someone to bless her with food.Thanks for your obedience,my child.”

This story simply remind me of loving people as how God love them.Its really not what we can share to them abt God but rather how we can love them with God’s love.Not that sharing with them abt God is not impt but sometimes, we missed out on the fundermental of loving God’s people as who they are..even those unlovable people.ya.

its been a good day of rest for me today.today’s only programme was to meet keith and kai’en to accompany them to dye their hair.so woke up quite late in the morning and had a mini MSN meeting with my sch proj mates.they are fun and funny people.lame too..but seems that we are getting along quite well.so its really fun and cool..went to kimage to dye hair with them..its kinda cheap coz its done by students,but still ok coz its not styling.styling needs more skills than that.Smsed my contacts today also..both of them replied..cool!and they might be coming for the ESS..so keeping them in prayers.West harvesters,keep on keeping on ok?continue to jiayou for these 2 ESS.we are all in this together.it will be fun serving God…becoz serving God is never boring rite?

Help me God…to be focussed..and help me not to think abt things that i shld not be thinking abt.I know u have your perfect plans in me.so saturate me with your holy being today.thank you God!

leadership is not a title;leadership is influence.

the above statement is not by a great man.but it is something that i learn yesterday while i was sharing to Kai’en abt being a leader.Indeed a leader is not juz someone who puts on a title and start asking people to accomplish tasks and delegate roles.a leader models and sets examples for people to follow.the greatest kind of leadership is leadership via influence,its when people see how you do certain things and model after you, or when people catches your spirit in doing certain things and are caught in the similar passion.leaders pay a high price too,by leading credible lives and living by integrity.in all that i have spoken,i am juz mentioning about secular leaders, i have yet to touch on being CHRISTIAN leaders.

there are manay consequences to things we do around us.things that we say and we do influences and affects people.Sometimes, it has immediate effects, sometimes, it has long term effects.what i am saying here is not all negative but of coz i am talking abt positive effects too.so as leaders of God’s flocks, let’s live our lifes carefully as not to stumble people and rethink about certain things that we do.not that whether its a “right” or “wrong” issue, but its more of whether we can do other things that is more beneficial compared to the way that we choose to do certain things. this post may sound very sophiscated, you can approach me for more info if you need clarification.

to end off with something lighter, today i went to CCK to meet ting’s girls.what they decided to do was to have a sharing christ session to kick start the whole 2 weeks of evangelism momentum.so i join in also, but i went alone and i din share christ. what i did was to take some invitation cards to invite the people for the I.F services. managed to get 2 contacts today.am happy!when i was inviting the first contact,something weird happened.i was like getting the contact’s phone no. and a lady walked towards us and i was wondering who is it and guess what?she was the person’s mum..and i thot “gosh, its like what will the mum think,a 20-yrs plus guy approaching my son?” so i quickly smiled at the mum and ended off the conversation by saying to the contact “i will sms you soon”…and i turned and left.SO SCARY…but nonetheless, i managed to get his contact no. today’s experiences reminded me that what our people are doing out there are never easy,so harvesters of the West Land, i applaud you for what you are doing for God and God will honour you…i am serious!

People, i can never emphasize enough..these 2 weeks are very important to us in this CG08 period.let’s really give our all ok?it will never be in vain if we are doing it for God….

had service ytd.hosted for both services.was actually quite ok bcoz i have learnt to shift myself lesser.infact,am running out of ideas for hosting.I really need some inspiration for hosting..but i wont be hosting for the next 3 months coz i will have sch on sat till 1230. found a place for meeting at SMU, it was pretty cool.coz its free place and free air con.and very conducive as well..not much people walked past. The pioneers’ meet was good.people are excited and charged up for evangelism and ready to chiong and win west for Jesus.I felt that Christine,Jency and Justin taught well ytd..kudos to them for preparing the lessons well..

met my team after that.we wandered ard for a few places and at last we settled for a place at cathay..taught that something that i learnt 5 yrs ago..something abt going deeper with God.and its really remind me abt how close i need to be with God to impact and impart things to my people.leaders in church are not people with great abilities (though it will be an asset), but they are people who are willing to be close to God and to be used by God.simply that.I am still growing..and i want to continue to grow…

Last but not least, West, let’s go for 125 this sat alrite?it is not easy…but its possible with God ya?let’s do it..let’s not be an audience of what God can do..but be a participant and allow God to work thru you yea?jiayou..all of u are in my prayers!

God’s good!

juz a brief entry,juz came back from a 20 mins walk home from Bukit Merah interchange…reason being that I caught Harry Potter 5 till 1230 and i have no bus home..therefore have to take 16 to the interchange and walk home…the movie was good…but as usual,they cut off certain impt stuff from the show to save time.nonetheless it was great.how i wish there was Hogwarts in real life. I think i would have excelled in it..and even coming out with new spells to irritate people…

Another thing was that it was my first time at DL huddle today.the feeling was a bit awkward as i have not seen most of the adults DLs before.and i was quite intimidated by all these spiritual giants there..but one highlight was that during worship, the Lord spoke to me abt my offering of my life to Him. Many times, unknowingly, we offer our lives to God with conditions attached to it, for e.g, “God, i give u my life, BUT you must bless me with my studies.”, or” God, i offer my life BUT u muz help me grow my group.” Yes, its true…you may argue that the outward action is correct. But ultimately, God looks at the heart, not that action.I need time to digest and reconstruct this thought again…asking for the Holy Spirit to be aware of my own heart motives.Thank You, God, for reminding again!:)

hi everyone, i’m back!i hope this time, its for good…haven really been faithful to the blogs that i have created.Thanks Jiawan for creating this for me.like the sunset quite a lot…I will try to update abt this blog as much as i can…

First of all, let me kick start this blog with a good news…

WEST HIT 100! for the first time in history.

I am seriously very happy when we count the stats in istana. I mean those who were there will know…ask christine and ting ting abt it..I was like jumping all around like a monkey..i mean its not juz the number. but God has done it thru all of you WEST!And this signifies that God is going to bring us to greater heights…Westlanders!fasten your seat belts alrite?coz for the next 1 and half yrs, God will bring us on this exciting journey of winning schs for Him…yes!all 38 of them! And God has really been faithful…coz most of the converts that he had pour into the grp are people for the 14 schs that we are pioneering from now till end ’07…so guys and gals from the west…let’s make an impact ya?being the most Enthu and Sacrificial people in the whole Youth….
